Kurma was always a food for company. The Caribbean-inspired grazing board is where the communal spirit of island hospitality meets the refined curation of a modern table, with the hand-crafted snap of Chungums Kurma as the centrepiece.

The story behind the pairing

In the Caribbean, sharing food is a foundational language of connection. It is never just about sustenance. It is about the liming, the art of doing nothing while sharing everything.

This board is a contemporary homage to that spirit, bringing the storied history of Kurma together with the piquant, creamy and bright elements of a world-class larder: lineage and pride, told through the senses.

Why it works

The board succeeds by letting Kurma set the rhythm. The structure and varied spice of Chungums, from warming Gingermon to savoury Nicely Spiced, provide the architecture around which everything else orbits.

The acidity of a tropical chutney and the tang of an aged cheddar become foils that highlight the Kurma's artisanal finish: proof that authenticity and sophistication are naturally aligned.

What you'll need

  • A generous selection of Chungums Kurma: Gingermon, Nicely Spiced, Simply Sweetened the centrepiece
  • Aged cheddar, ash-rolled goat's cheese, ripe brie, a piquant blue 4 cheeses
  • Mango, pineapple spears, passion fruit, star fruit, grapes for structure
  • Mango or lime chutney, guava jelly, a sharp scotch bonnet jam condiments
  • Sourdough crisps, toasted cashews, fat green olives to fill

Method

  1. The foundation

Begin with a substantial wooden board or a heavy marble slab. The scale should suggest generosity, a silent nod to the expansive hospitality of the islands.

  2. The centrepiece

Place bowls and clusters of Chungums Kurma at the heart of the board first, and build everything else around them.

  3. The architecture

Set the cheeses at points around the board, then fill with fruit, chutneys, crisps and nuts so every gap offers a different bite.

  4. The invitation

Finish with mint and lime halves for aroma and acidity. Set it in the middle of the table and let people lime, the art of doing nothing while sharing everything.
