Five Ways to Enjoy Kurma
Straight from the tub is only the beginning. Five simple ways to enjoy Kurma, from the classic chai pairing to a rather good dessert.
Kurma is perfect on its own. But it also keeps very good company. Here are five of our favourite ways to enjoy it.
1. With a cup of tea or chai
This is the classic, and for good reason. Kurma was made for the ritual of tea and conversation. The warm spice of Gingermon or Ginger Delight sits beautifully against a strong brew or a spiced chai. Pour, sit, and let the afternoon slow down a little.
2. On a grazing board
A bowl of Kurma earns its place on any cheese or grazing board. The crisp, sugar-frosted sticks are a lovely contrast to soft cheeses, dried fruit and nuts, and they give guests something a little different to discover. Savoury Nicely Spiced works especially well here.
3. Over ice cream or yoghurt
Crumble a few sticks over vanilla ice cream or a bowl of thick yoghurt for instant texture and warmth. It is the easiest dessert you will make all week, and it turns a simple scoop into something worth talking about.
4. As a gift, the way it was meant to be
Kurma has always been a sharing food. Tuck a tub into a hamper, bring one to a dinner you have been invited to, or send a bundle to someone who would never think to buy it for themselves. A snack with a story makes a generous gift.
5. Simply, by the handful
Sometimes the best way is the obvious one. Keep a tub somewhere visible, reach in often, and reseal it to keep every bite crunchy. Few things are quite so easy to love.
However you enjoy it, we would love to see. Tag us and show us your favourite way.
